Scary night walk story

Hi My name is Buffy. I am living in this neighborhood for a year. I was beautiful and popular and was very phone addicted. Just like any day, I was talking to my friend from the same neighborhood while I was out for a walk outside. She told me about murders that were occurring in our neighborhood and told me to be careful. After talking, I decided to go home. Then I saw a man on the street.’That’s weird’ I thought. I know everyone in the neighborhood. I go out for walk every day. But I have never seen that man even near our neighborhood. I thought he may have just come here.I was walking toward home when I heard footsteps behind me. I saw a shadow behind me. I have a great sense of shadows. And I was sure it was the man I saw earlier. Worried I started walking faster. I finally heard nothing. I turned back. I saw the man in a distance.I asked him why was he following me. The man gave no response. My most endearing quality is that I speak my heart. So I told him that he was scaring me. He apologized and we started to talk. He said that he lived alone and his bad looks often gave him trouble. I asked why was he following me. He said that he was returning me my silver bracelet. I said it was my mother’s lucky charm. He smiled and told me to go to right and take a turn to reach my house. I was confused by why did he want me to go to my house by a longer way but thought I could do this much after him returning my bracelet. I reached home and quickly went to bed. Next morning I took out some cookies and was going to eat them when my eye fell on the newspaper. I read that the killer was caught in a house which was in my usual route towards home. I was now very happy that I did not go to home by there. Then I saw the pictures of the victims and I think that I was shocked more than I ever had or ever could be. The same man whom I met yesterday was actually his first victim who was killed off a week prior to our meeting. He saved me. The bracelet always reminds me of the man whom I hope to see again if I could.
