Milk

This happened a very long time ago but still confused me til this day. When I was around 6 or 7 years old I used to play with my toys alone since I was the only child, I never really got lonely but I occasionally got bored once in a while. But right after I had my lunch I was about to go play with my new Barbie house I just got but I was interrupted by a knock at the door. I stood there and waited for my mom to open it, and when she did, there was a little girl standing there looking at her like she was angry. After about 5 weird seconds my mother said “can I help you with hun?” She just stood there and said “milk”. my mother said “what?”, She aggressively replied “milk!”. after that my mother let her in and she sat at the dining room table. I sat on my chest on the living room floor kicking my legs in the air while playing with my Barbie, the little girl just sat there and stared at me. About 30 seconds of awkward staring my mom gave her a glass of cold milk. She drank it like she never has drank anything before. She put down the glass and left through the front door, I was weirded out and asked my mom “who was that? Does she wanna play?”. “I don’t know sweetie”she said. I sighed and just slept playing with my toys— about 3 days have past and another knock came at the door, I stood by my mom and waited to see who it was. My mom opened it and a lady with brown hair asked if she seen a little girl with blonde hair and a blue skirt. My mother responded with “oh! yes she came here the other day…” The lady was filled with shock when she said “what”, a tear filled her eye and she said “she drowned 9 days ago”…
